Big Point Sable Lighthouse – Alway Photography.

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — Round trip bus transportation is being offered to Big Sable Lighthouse on Saturday, June 25 from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children ages 12 and under. Tickets are available at the building next to the Ludington State Park office.
Public road traffic is normally not allowed to the lighthouse and visitors need to walk the 1.8 miles.
Additional bus days are July 16, 30, Aug. 13, 27 and Sept. 24 from noon to 5 p.m. Those days will also include entertainment at the lighthouse:
- July 16: Sweet Wednesday, 1:30 to 3 p.m. (click here for more information)
- July 30: Wayne and Sheri Knapp, 1:30 to 3 p.m.
- Aug. 13: Art Song, 1:30 to 3 p.m.
- Aug. 27: Eric Engblade, 1:30 to 3 p.m. (click here for more information)
Big Sable Point Lighthouse is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes a gift shop and tower tours (admission: $5 for adults and $2 for children ages 12 and under — children must be 40-inches tall minimum to climb the tower). The tower is operated by the Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association.
