Scottville woman sentenced to jail for wielding axe.

LUDINGTON — A 28-year-old Scottville woman was sentenced Tuesday, June 7, in 51st Circuit Court to serve 90 days up front of a one-year jail term for a conviction of felonious assault.

Jennifer Lynn Nickelson, 210 E. Second St., was carrying an axe in an illegal manner, said Judge Susan K. Sniegowski. She was arrested last April by the Hart post of the Michigan State Police.

Nickelson was also ordered to two years probation. She received credit for 58 days served in jail.
