AMBER TOWNSHIP — The remains of a historic school house that collapsed two years ago will be cleaned up sometime this summer. The Amber Township Board of Trustees approved the cleanup bid of $4,000 from Jabrocki Excavating of Scottville to clean up the Jones School, located at the corner of Johnson and Gordon roads.
The school was the original school building to serve children in Scottville and northeastern Amber Township. It was built in the 1870s.
