New carnival company signed for Harvest Festival.

SCOTTVILLE — The Scottville Harvest Festival Committee has announced that it has signed a contract with Clark’s Attractions from Ionia for this year’s Harvest Festival, scheduled for Sept. 15-18.

The carnival company will bring attractions geared toward younger children.

“The carnival has been a staple of the Scottville Harvest Festival in years past and the new company offers the community an affordable way to continue that tradition,” said Carla Mayer, chair of the Downtown Development Authority. “We feel having an attraction like a carnival with rides adds a festive atmosphere to any event. Clarks Attractions will cater to our younger festival­goers, providing them with exciting entertainment. We are happy that Clarks was available and are confident, based on reviews, in the quality of the rides and activities they will bring.”

Clarks Attractions will bring rides for children, and inflatable attractions. The company, in addition to the Scottville Harvest Festival, is expected to be at the Portland Block Party, Newaygo Memorial Day Festival, Sparta Celtic Days, and Grant Harvest Festival in 2016.
