VICTORY TOWNSHIP — West Shore Educational Service District Career & Technical Education (CTE) Allied Health students competed in February at the Regional Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) competition against other high school students for a chance to advance to the state HOSA competition, which will be held in Traverse City, MI later this week, April 14 and 15.
Students competed in several categories including: CPR/first aid, forensic science, HOSA quiz bowl, public service announcement, medical reading, veterinary science and nurse assisting. The following students earned top placement in the following categories:
CPR/First Aid
Gold medal first place winners: Brooke Thurow and Tirzah Wood (Mason County Central High School)
Silver medal second place: Kylie Mount and Jacy Larson (Mason County Central)
Bronze Medal third place: Logan Merrick and Zacary Wright-Fisher (Mason County Central)
