A special Easter egg hunt.

DSCN5661SHERMAN TOWNSHIP — One-hundred special needs persons participated in the Circle Rocking S Children’s Farm Special Needs Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Contest today. Participants came from Frankfort, Wellston, Manistee, Ludington, Walhalla, Hart and Shelby to enjoy the free egg hunt. Over 2,000 eggs were hidden for the participants inside a barn.
Live bunnies, chickens, ducks and sheep were in the barn for everyone to pet and enjoy while looking for eggs.  Once the big barn doors opened it was less than 10 minutes the barn was cleared of eggs. All participates also received a free stuffed animal;  all candy and stuffed animals were donated.  Volunteers from Bethany Lutheran Church in Ludington stuffed the eggs with candy, Janice Rafferty and Sally Franz from Illinois donated the stuffed animals.
Circle Rocking S Children’s Farm Inc. is a 501c3 taxed exempt non-profit organization that provides touch therapy and recreation free of charge to people with special needs of all ages.  The farm relies on donations for their programs.
