LUDINGTON — Three felony charges and one misdemeanor count were recently dismissed in 79th District Court against a 22-year-old Ludington man.

Jarid Hunter Billings, of 214 E. Melendy St., Apt. 4, was arrested Jan. 28 by the Ludington Police Department for felonies of assault by strangulation, felonious assault and weapons – felony firearm and a misdemeanor of domestic violence.

“At (a March 9) preliminary examination, after hearing testimony from the victim and the eyewitness, Judge (Pete) Wadel dismissed the case without prejudice finding a lack of probable cause on the charged offenses,” said Mason County Prosecutor Paul Spaniola.
