Susanne Margaret Dewyer, 71, peacefully passed away on Sunday February 28, 2016 at Tendercare of Ludington.

Susanne was born to the late Rev. Herman and Melinda Voege on February 2, 1945.

Susanne attended Scottville/Mason County Central High School and graduated with the class of 1963.  She married Thomas Lane Dewyer in April of 1969.  She worked at Tendercare of Ludington for several years.

Sue came to Scottville with her parents from Canada at the age of 16 in 1961.  She was a strong Christian and it showed in how she lived her life everyday.  She had a kind, loving heart and devoted her life to the Lord, her family and helping others.  She would often go without so that others would be taken care of.  She enjoyed gardening, birds, flowers and spending time with her family.

Susannne is survived by her children: Stephanie (Scott) Talsma of Ludington, Rodney (Sheryl) Dewyer of Chelsea and Michelle (Allen) Frey of Ludington; grandchildren: Andrew and Brooke Talsma, Katie, Zack and Nick Dewyer, and Caitlin, Tristan and Madison Coleson; sisters: Joanne (David) Newman of Sarnia, Ontario Canada, Sharon Fisher of Glencoe, Ontario Canada; brother; Ken (Rebecca) Voege of London, Ontario Canada;  aunt Margaret Schmitt of Waterloo, Ontario Canada; family Friend Don Coleson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death her parents; grandparents Simon and Amelia Nuhn and her nephew Freddy Newman.

Cremation has taken place and there will a memorial service held at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. officiated by Pastor John Hansen.  A public visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

Memorial contributions in memory of Susanne may be directed toward the church to help someone in need.  

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and former co-workers at Tendercare of Ludington for all of the wonderful care their mother received.
