51st Circuit Court sentencings include embezzlement, attempted home invasion.

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 51st Circuit Court:

Gardenhire

Gardenhire

Isaiah G. Gardenhire, 35, of 7171 E. Stolberg Rd., Sheridan Township, was found guilty Jan. 6 of felon in possession of firearms/weapons and fourth-offense habitual offender. He was sentenced Feb. 16 to three to 20 years in prison, with credit for three days served in jail, and $258 in fines and costs. Two counts of felony firearms and one count of receiving and concealing guns were dismissed.

Andrea Benet King, 35, of 309 N. Washington Ave, Apt. 1, Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 5 of receiving and concealing property $1,000-$20,000 and second-offense habitual offender. She was sentenced to two to seven-and-a-half years in prison, with credit for 106 days served in jail; $1,821.23 in restitution, which is joint and several with co-defendants; and $258 in fines and costs. In a separate file, she was found guilty Feb. 16 of probation violation and sentenced to one year and four months to two years in prison, with credit for 255 days served in jail, and $338 in fines and costs. Her probation is revoked. Both files run concurrently. King’s probation stems from an April 7, 2015 conviction of possession of a non-narcotic/analogues.

Donald Ray Picklesimer III, 24, Carson City Correctional Facility, 10274 Boyer Rd., Carson City, Mich., was found guilty Dec. 8 of possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced Feb. 16 to one-and-a-half to 10 years in prison, with credit for 544 days served in jail; and $258 in fines and costs. Sentence runs concurrently to a Newaygo County case. His second-offense habitual offender designation was dismissed.

Jeffery Thomas Nitz, 42, of 3786 W. Forest Hill Circle, Amber Township, was found guilty Jan. 19 of attempted first-degree home invasion and possession of burglar’s tools. He was sentenced Feb. 16 to serve seven months up front of a one-year jail term; two years probation; and $326 in fines and costs. Sentence is consecutive to a parole violation term.

Bothwell

Daniel Lee Bothwell, 39, of 109 W. Dowland St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 11 of failure to pay child support. He was sentenced Feb. 16 to one year discretionary jail; must pay Friend of the Court through income withholding order; five years probation; and $658 in fines and costs. His third-offense habitual offender designation was dismissed.

Mendez

Angelo Barrera Mendez, 40, of 6509 W. Decker Rd., Hamlin Township, was found guilty Dec. 8 of embezzlement agent $1,000-$20,000. He was sentenced Feb. 16 to serve six months up front of a 270-day discretionary jail sentence, with credit for one day served in jail; $17,207 in restitution; and $658 in fines and costs. Must report to jail April 16, and work release must meet Mason County Sheriff’s Office guidelines. One count of larceny by conversion $1,000-$20,000 and one count of retaining a financial transaction device without consent were dismissed.

William Lawrence Eichhorn, 55, of 9279 S. Three Lakes Lane, Baldwin, was found guilty Jan. 5 of controlled substance – possession of analogues. He was sentenced Feb. 16 to serve three months up front of a 330-day jail discretionary sentence, with credit for 50 days served in jail; $658 in fines and costs; and 18 months probation. Second-offense habitual offender designation dismissed.
