Norma Marie Page age 94 passed away on Wednesday February 17, 2017 at Cornerstone Living Center of Hastings. Norma was born to the late Arthur Ephraim Peterson and Mary Charlotte Chinberg on April 13, 1921 in Custer. She graduated with the class of 1940 at Scottville High School and attended Marinello Cosmetology School in Grand Rapids in 1941.

Norma married Harlan J. (Ptaszenski) Page on August 8, 1945 at Saint Simon Catholic Church of Ludington.  She was a beautician all of her life.  She owned and operated The Beauty Spot hair salon in Ludington in the 1940s and also owned and operated Basement Boutique consignment shop.  She worked at Scholls Jewelry Store later in life.

Norma was a member of United Methodist Church of Ludington.  Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, gardening, dancing, garage sales and bazaars, volunteering and especially spending time with family and friends.  She loved Ludington and Lake Michigan.  She helped make hundreds of teddy bears for the hospital in Ludington.  Norma was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver and friend.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed sharing jokes and funny stories with everyone she met.

She is survived by her son Gary (Diana) Page of Cicero, New York; daughter Lee Ann (Clay) Martz of Woodland, Michigan.  Grandchildren: Tonya (Todd) Hess of Kalamazoo, Jeremy Page of Akron, New York, Kacey Page of Hamburg, New York, Stephanie (Kyle) Erickson of Lake Odessa, Katie (Tim) Saglimbene of Lansing; great-grandchildren: Layla and Grady Erickson of Lake Odessa; brother Robert (June) Peterson of Cadillac and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and husband, sister Eleanor Russell and brother LeRoy Peterson.

There will be a memorial service held for Norma on Monday February 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington with Assistant Pastor John Waite.  A visitation will start at 10 a.m. prior to the service.

Memorial contributions in memory of Norma may be directed to the United Methodist Church of Ludington/Missions, Port of Ludington Maritime Museum or Cornerstone Living Center in Hastings, Michigan.
