Here’s the buzz: Beekeepers to meet.

SCOTTVILLE — The Scottville Beekeepers of Mason County will hold a meeting on Thursday, Jan. 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. The group was started by beekeeper Lenny Feldberg, with the guidance of Ed Malkowski, a 60-plus year veteran beekeeper and retired Mason County Central administrator. The meeting will be held at the Scottville Area Senior Center, 140 S. Main St.

A topic of discussion will be taking care of the hives during winter months and spring planning. Those attending do not have to be beekeepers, they can come just bee-cause!

The meeting will also include a showing of the award winning documentary “Queen of the Sun — What are the Bees Telling Us,” a film featuring beekeepers from around the world. The presentation is free with popcorn provided. Sorry, no honey.
