LUDINGTON — The first Mason County baby of 2016 was born at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2 at the Family Birthing Center at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital. Mother, Cheyenne Wilson, of Ludington, gave birth to a girl, Audree Wilson, who weighed 6-pounds, 4-ounces and measured 20-inches long.

Audree was delivered by Dr. Marvin Craig, assisted by nurses Dana Allen and Heidi Moloney. Her attending physician while in the hospital is pediatrician Dr. Teresa Kovas. Dr. Timothy Murphy of Ludington, is Cheyenne Wilson’s obstetrian/gynecologist, and Dr. Jennifer Reinink of Manistee, is Audree’s post-hospital pediatrician.

Cheyenne and Audree received a safe sleep sack provided to each new mom and baby by the local hospital foundation, and a knit cap from hospital volunteers. In addition they received a package of diapers, a case of formula and a large gift basket from the hospital. The basket contained blankets, towels, toys, clothing and other items to celebrate Audree as Mason County’s first baby of the year.
