.       Vocabulary – Different Credit Union vocabulary they will be using to handle all of their financial needs

.       Advantages of a Credit Union over a Bank

.       Future financial needs and how to plan for them

.       Careers in the Business Finance world

.       Classes that will prepare them for future careers

I felt very lucky to come into her classroom and teach the kids about financial literacy. The kids in her class were very engaged and very smart! They asked great questions and I believe they got a lot out of the training.”

Gurzynski said teachers who are interested in having Safe Harbor Credit Union teach their classroom about financial literacy can contact him at 231-843-2323.

“We even offer free booklets that teach lessons about budgeting, and financial literacy the teachers can have through an organization we call Banzai,” Gurzynski said. “This is something Safe Harbor does for the community to enhance the knowledge or our youth, and help our schools.”
