Driver flees crash scene on foot

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred Saturday, Dec. 12, at 8 p.m. on US 10 east of PM Highway.

“An eastbound vehicle collided with a vehicle which had pulled out of a private drive,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. “The driver of the westbound vehicle fled the scene on foot. A passenger in the other vehicle received minor injuries.”

– 7:52 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash with injuries, Benson near Stolberg roads, Sheridan Township. A 17-year-old Branch woman lost control of the vehicle she was operating; went off the road; and into the ditch. She was transported by LIFE EMS to Spectrum Health/Ludington Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

– 11 p.m., (LPD), malicious destruction of property (MDOP), 800 block of N. James St., City of Ludington.

– 11:57 p.m., (MCSO), a 17-year-old Muskegon woman and an 18-year-old Branch man were both arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop by deputies, Main and State streets, City of Scottville.
