salvation_army_food_toy_1LUDINGTON — The Salvation Army of Mason County is providing food baskets and toys for families in need this Christmas season. The program is available for Mason County residents only. Christmas applications will be accepted at the Salvation Army Community Center, 116 E. Melendy St., on Monday, Dec. 7 from 1 to 2 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 8 and Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Applicants need to bring: a picture identification showing a Mason County address; some form of ID for all others in the household (birth certificate, school ID, Medicaid card, etc.); last four digits of Social Security numbers of all household adults (must be in print); proof of all income.

Items available:

  • A food basket, in partnership with St. Simon’s Church’s Each One Reach One project, with enough food for three to four days in addition to a holiday dinner, including meat and fresh items.
  • Toys and more for children in the family age 17-years and younger.
