79th District Court sentencings, dismissals

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Shayne Michael Neve, 19, of 306 E. Second St., Ludington, was found guilty Nov. 10 of selling/furnishing alcohol to a minor and aggravated assault. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail for count 1 and one year in jail for count 2. The terms will run concurrently with his circuit court sentence, and fines and costs are waived in lieu of ordered jail time to be served. One count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) was dismissed.

– Neal Alexander Wroble, 26, of 21 W. Dewey Rd., Victory Township, was found guilty Nov. 13 of driving while license suspended (DWLS). He was sentenced to 29 days in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Connie Sue Anderson, 47, of 4770 N. Custer Rd., Free Soil Township, was found guilty Nov. 12 of failure to validate deer kill tag and sentenced to $235 in fines and costs.

– Rachelle Lyn Cole-Casto, 28, of 7213 S. Michigan Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty Nov. 12 of disorderly person – urinating in public and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs.

– Samuel Darnell Harper, 52, of 1212 22nd St., Manistee, was found guilty Nov. 12 of DWLS and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs and 93 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Angela Kay Cousins, 45, of 414 N. Main St., Scottville, was found guilty Nov. 10 of second-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year; must attend the Economic Crime Program; and $600 in fines and costs. One count of third-degree retail fraud was dismissed.

– Priscilla Marie Gutierrez, 24, of 2880 W. Polk Rd., Hart, was found guilty Nov. 16 of allowing a person to drive in violation and sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $335 in fines and costs.

– Kenneth Eugene White, 74, of 3740 Harrison Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Nov. 10 of third-degree retail fraud and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $600 in fines and costs.

– Susan Marie Wagner, 50, of 901 N. Gaylord Ave., Apt. 5, Ludington, was found guilty Nov. 10 of third-degree retail fraud and sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; credit for time served; and $600 in fines and costs or perform 30 hours of community service within six months. Restitution is reserved.

– Nicholas Gene Helfrich, 26, of 201 E. Filer St., Ludington, was found guilty Nov. 12 of failure to report an accident and sentenced to $325 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– Allan Richard Lange, 50, of 304 N. Rowe St., Ludington, one count of DWLS dismissed Nov. 6. “Defendant has pleaded to a lesser charge,” his court file states.

– Stephany Ann Miller, 26, of 2274 E. Scottwood Ave., Burton, Mich., one count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed Nov. 10. “The case is dismissed on the motion of the prosecutor with prejudice,” according to court records.
