An airplane pilot reported a green laser was pointed at his plane as he was making his approach to land his plane Wednesday evening. The Mason County Sheriff’s Office took the complaint which the pilot stated happened 8 miles northeast of the Mason County Airport, most likely Victory Township. The complaint was taken at 7:46 p.m.

  • 6:59 a.m.: (MCSO), Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 31 and Hansen Road, Amber Township.
  • 11:11 a.m.: (MCSO), Hit and run crash, no injuries, northbound U.S. 31 expressway south of U.S. 10, Amber Township.
  • 5:31 p.m.: (MCSO), Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 10/31 and Stiles Road, Amber Township.
  • 8:55 p.m.: (MCSO), Car/deer crash, no injuries, Custer and Freeman roads, Free Soil Township.
  • 8:57 p.m. (MCSO), a 28-year-old Greenville man was arrested at the intersection of Ludington Avenue and Robert Street in the City of Ludington for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, first offense, and also was cited for having an open intoxicant in his vehicle. A 53-year-old Allegan man was cited for open intoxicants following the traffic stop.
