Man arrested after throwing marijuana out car window

SHERIDAN TWP. — A 23-year-old Custer man was arrested after he reportedly threw marijuana out the window of his vehicle as a Mason County Sheriff’s deputy was following him Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 6:54 p.m. at the intersection of Benson and Borowski roads. The suspect was arrested on charges of violation of the medical marijuana act and evidence destruction.

Other Mason County Sheriff’s Office activity Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015 includes:

– 7:59 p.m., a 29-year-old Scottville man was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop, Stolberg and Benson roads, Sheridan Twp.

– 5:13 a.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, Millerton Road near Reek Road, Sherman Twp.

– 12:03 p.m., a 43-year-old Hart man and a 42-year-old Hart woman were arrested at Walmart on warrants for retail fraud following an investigation. The man also was wanted on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for fraud out of Oceana County, 4800 block of W. US-10, Pere Marquette Twp.
