Scottville increases speed limit on First Street.

SCOTTVILLE — The speed limit on First Street from Reinberg Avenue west to the city limits will be increased. The city commission passed an amendment to the city’s ordinance tonight to increase the speed from the area east and west from Reinberg Avenue from 25 mph to 35 mph and also increase the speed north from the curve to the city limits from 25 mph to 40 mph.

The signs to change the speed will be up within 15 days, when the ordinance will officially become law.

City commission also approved an amendment to change a handicap parking place from 101 N. Main Street to 111 N. Main Street. The ordinance will take place in 15 days.
