SSCENT makes multiple drug arrests.

SSCENTDuring the last two weeks, several people were arrested on warrants issued for their arrests as a result of investigations handled by SSCENT (State, Sheriff, Chief Enforcement of Narcotics Team) detectives.  All of the cases listed below are unrelated. The locations of the arrests were not provided, but most took place in Oceana County, according to MSP Lt. Andrew Ambrose, commander of SSCENT.

  • Jason Charles Canavan, a 29-year-old Walkerville man was arrested on a felony warrant for possession of methamphetamine.
  • Clifford Eugene Verschueren, a 42-year-old Hart man was arrested on a felony warrant for manufacture marijuana.
  • Thomas Patrick Lynch, a 21-year-old Traverse City man was arrested on a felony warrant for possession of MDMA (ecstasy).
  • Matthew Damian Shouse, a 25-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested on a felony warrant for manufacturing marijuana.
  • Unhyo Jay Yi, a 19-year-old Bloomfield Hills man was arrested on a two count felony warrant for possession of cocaine and possession of ketamine.
  • Melton Lee Williams, a 24-year-old St. Louis, Missouri man was arrested on a two count felony warrant for possession of cocaine and possession of MDMA (ecstasy).
    Stoten Malckey Stofko, a 28-year-old Merrillville, Indiana man was arrested on a two county felony warrant for possession of MDMA (ecstasy) and possession of LSD (acid).
