79th District Court arraignments include assault by strangulation, larceny, embezzlement

LUDINGTON — The following were arraigned recently in front of the 79th District Court magistrate:

Felonies

Ireland

– Adam Bruce Ireland, 41, of 708 Fifth St., Ludington, was arrested Oct. 7 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) for a felony of assault by strangulation; domestic violence; and second-offense habitual offender. Probable cause hearing: Oct. 21 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $20,000/cash/surety.

Markham

– David Tabber Markham, 32, of 6189 Pingree Rd. Elwell, Mich., was arrested Oct. 7 by the Scottville Police Department (SPD) for felonies of forgery; larceny in building; fourth-offense habitual offender; and two counts of uttering and publishing. Probable cause hearing: Oct. 14 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $15,000/cash/surety.

Mendez

– Angelo Barrera Mendez, 39, of 6509 W. Decker Rd., Hamlin Township, was arrested Oct. 8 by the Hart post of the Michigan State Police (MSP) for felonies of embezzlement/agent or trustee; larceny by conversion $1,000-$20,000; and stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent. Probable cause hearing: Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Pena

– Isabel Victoria Pena, 17, of 909 S. Washington Ave., Ludington, was arrested Oct. 9 by LPD for a felony of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police. Probable cause hearing: Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Jack Daniel Willoughby, 20, of 618 1/2 E. Melendy St., Ludington, was arrested Oct. 8 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for a misdemeanor of possession of marijuana. Pretrial: Oct. 26 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Dayna Marie Birdsall, 41, of 2241 W. 24th St., Baldwin, was cited Oct. 8 by MSP for a misdemeanor of failure to maintain security (no insurance). Pretrial: Oct. 26 at 10:30 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Sara Marie Maccune, 24, of 2355 N. 28th St., Fountain, was cited Oct. 8 by MSP for a misdemeanor of failure to maintain security (no insurance). Pretrial: Oct. 26 at 10:15 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Tyler Joel Griffin, 24, of 308 1/2 W. Court St., Ludington, was arrested Oct. 7 by LPD for a misdemeanor of second-offense receiving and concealing less than $200. Pretrial: Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. Bail: $7,500/cash/surety.

– Joel Fredrick Steketee, 30, of 1245 N. LaSalle Rd., Amber Township, was arrested Oct. 6 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of domestic violence. Pretrial: Oct. 19 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Jesse Steven Pete, 29, of 913 Kosciusko St., Manistee, was arrested Oct. 6 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of third-degree retail fraud. Pretrial: Oct. 26 at 9:30 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Ryan Keith Shurlow, 23, of 3811 N. US-31, Victory Township, was cited Oct. 8 by MSP for a misdemeanor of failure to maintain security (no insurance). Pretrial: Oct. 26 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Tammy Lynn Wiltjer, 55, of 4553 Sixth St., Ludington, was arrested Oct. 8 by MSP for a misdemeanor of domestic violence. Pretrial: Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Adam Clayton Shook, 33, no address listed, was arrested Oct. 9 by LPD for a misdemeanor of larceny less than $200. Pretrial: Nov. 9 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Jacob David Bentz, 21, of 56 S. Quarterline Rd., Amber Township, was arrested Oct. 11 by LPD for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated and cited for violating a restricted license. Pretrial: Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Daniel Lee Weaver, 29, of 5616 N. Budzynski Rd., Sheridan Township, was arrested Oct. 11 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of domestic violence. Pretrial: Oct. 26 at 11:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Mark Wayne Trim, 56, of 8888 E. Barothy Rd., Branch Township, was arrested Oct. 9 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of driving while license suspended (DWLS). Pretrial: Nov. 2 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.
