Driver uninjured after vehicle strikes tree along Stiles Rd.

VICTORY TWP. — An 18-year-old Sheridan Township woman sustained minor injuries Thursday afternoon when the vehicle she was driving struck a tree. The driver was southbound on Stiles Road in a Chevrolet Impala and reached for her purse, according to a Mason County Sheriff Deputy Ken Baum on the scene. The vehicle then crossed the centerline and entered a small embankment just south of Fisher Road, striking a tree.

Life EMS ambulance was dispatched to evaluate the driver, however she did not seek transportation to the hospital.
