VICTORY TOWNSHIP — West Shore Community College’s Business & Community Education (BCE) fall 2015 program is now underway and community members can enroll online for a wide range of classes, events and workshops.
The BCE program is an inclusive, learning-centered program providing educational and personal enrichment opportunities to all community members. The program supports the life-long learning goals of anyone wishing to learn a new skill or hobby or enhance personal and professional goals through career and technical training, retraining and personal enrichment.
From fitness classes, arts and crafts, technology workshops, thought-provoking seminars, office and business trainings, the BCE program has something for everyone.
A sample of this season’s personal enrichment classes includes a host of culinary classes including Bread Making, French Macaroons, Doughnut Make & Bake, Gluten Free and Vegan Cuisine.
Also offered are craft classes which include a much requested jewelry making class, the WSCC Author’s Series highlighting published works by WSCC professors, and three different essential oils classes.
In more business focused trainings, community members can participate in a variety of Google workshops covering topics like productivity, online publishing, and communication tools. The BCE program will also be offering Microsoft Word for business use and basic and advanced grant writing.
“Business and Community Education is an opportunity for our community members to participate in a wide range of activities and to further explore hobbies, or to enhance a particular skill set. We are always looking for ways to expand our offerings, and this year we have several new classes based upon suggestions we received,” states Crystal Young, coordinator of the BCE program.
A program announcement has been delivered to households in the WSCC district and registration for BCE classes is underway and continues throughout the season.
