Pregnant woman injured in Riverton crash.

  RIVERTON TWP. — A 25-year-old Riverton Township woman was injured following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Scottville and Hawley roads Thursday morning.

The 25-year-old was driving a Saturn SUV east on Hawley Road and apparently failed to stop for the stop sign, crashing into a northbound Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by a 72-year-old Crystal Valley woman. The two passengers in the Chrysler were a 43-year-old woman and 21-year-old woman, also both from Crystal Valley.

The 25-year-old, who is 35 weeks pregnant, was transported by ambulance to Spectrum Health Ludington Hosptial. She was issued a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way. 

Responding to the scene were Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Riverton Fire Dept. and Life EMS.
