Motorcyclist hospitalized after striking deer

SUMMIT TWP. — A 32-year-old Ludington man was injured after the motorcycle he was operating struck a deer Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 4:22 a.m. on US-31 near Meisenheimer Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. He was treated at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

4:01 p.m., (MCSO), retail fraud, a 17-year-old Ludington man was arrested and a 16-year-old Scottville girl was cited in juvenile court, 4800 block of US-10 — Walmart, Pere Marquette Twp.

7:39 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Reek and Beyer roads, Sherman Twp.

9:10 p.m., (MSP), car-deer crash, US-31 and US-10, PM Twp.
