SCOTTVILLE — The Scottville Harvest Festival committee will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. at city hall to review the 2015 festival and talk about the 2016 festival. The meeting is an opportunity for the public to discuss what it likes and dislikes about the festival and how improvements can be made.

Scottville Downtown Development Authority events coordinator Melissa Keefer told Scottville City Commission Monday night, during its regular meeting, that this year’s festival was great, except for the rain Saturday morning.

“I talked to a lot of people,” she said. “The teenagers really enjoyed the Thursday teen dance and the parents were also happy that the kids were all in one place. The parade was nice and sunny but our princess contest had some cold little princesses,” she said. “There was a good turn out for the entertainment tent both Friday and Saturday. We had great bands and great music.”

Keefer said Karl Reeds, owner of North Country Cafe, said his business had a great weekend, as did Ginger Mott, owner of G&M Burgers.
