2 vehicle crash in Sheridan Twp

SHERIDAN TWP. — An 18-year-old Branch Township man received a ticket following a two vehicle crash at the intersection of East Dewey and North Schoenherr roads Thursday night.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of the crash about 8:30 p.m. The crash occurred when an eastbound Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, driven by the 18-year-old Branch man, failed to yield at the intersection and collided with a northbound Buick Park Avenue driven by a 29-year-old Fountain woman. The pickup collided with the front of the Buick but landed on the car’s trunk.

The woman and her 6-year-old daughter, her only passenger, received minor injuries. There was one passenger in the pickup, a 17-year-old Branch Township man. 

Personnel from Fountain Area Fire Department and Life EMS ambulance checked the occupants over on scene but non were transported to the hospital by ambulance. 

The driver of the pickup received a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way.
