Retail fraud (shoplifting) and car/deer crashes continue to be top on the list of local law enforcement activities. The following is the activity of Mason County Sheriff’s Office for Monday, August 31, 2015:

  • 5:20 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Fountain and Dennis roads, Victory Township.
  • 8 a.m.: An arrest warrant for a 44-year-old Ludington woman has been requested for the charge of retail fraud at Wal-Mart, 4800 block of U.S. 10, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 10:54 p.m.: Larceny of a bicycle, 3900 W. U.S. 10/31, Meijer Store, Amber Township. Victim reported the theft of an orange and black Mongoose bicycle.
