HAMLIN TWP. — A 52-year-old Ludington woman was arrested Saturday, Aug. 15, shortly after midnight on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting and opposing arrest in the 3300 block of North Halls Road after allegedly “taunting” Mason County Sheriff’s deputies and slapping one of them on the arm, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Deputies were called to an “intoxicated driver” call and while speaking with the complainant, the suspect (who was not associated with the reported drunk driver) approached police and started taunting them. “She was advised to go inside, but instead approached the deputies and the original complainant and slapped the deputy across his arm,” Cole said. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail
