Don’t miss the final days of the Western Michigan Fair! Gates open Friday at 1 p.m. for perusing 4-H animals and livestock with the midway opening at 3 p.m. Saturday begins bright and early with the second annual Stampede 5k Fun Run/Walk followed by the fifth annual Barn Brawl wrestling tournament at 9 a.m. Weekend grandstand events will include the Super Kicker Rodeo on Friday and the Night of Destruction Demolition Derby on Saturday. Welcome home to Pentwater! The small town will be abuzz with activity over the span of four days. Events include a Strawberry Shortcake Social, a Sand Sculpture Contest and the Cancer and Critical Care Fund Charity Volleyball Tournament. On Saturday, everyone in town is invited to “Say Cheese” and be apart of the first annual Pentwater Homecoming Portrait. Also on Saturday, don’t miss the Big Ten Tailgate Party, the Homecoming Grand Parade at 4 p.m., the Scottville Clown Band mini concert behind Village Cafe & Pub and Jazz North performing on Village Green. Fireworks will take place over the lake at dusk. Finish off the grand weekend with the Marine Corps League Pancake breakfast on Sunday.

United Way of Mason County’s Suds on the Shore Craft Beer and Wine Festival – Ludington

Stop by the Ludington City Park on Saturday for the 7th annual Suds on the Shore Craft Beer and Wine Festival. Adults age 21 and older are invited to enjoy craft beers and wines from a variety of breweries and wineries. Tickets may also be purchased at the gate for $30. The purchase of a ticket will include entry, 8 tokens and a souvenir glass.
