LAKE MICHIGAN — One person was operating a sailboat when it overturned about ¼ mile north of the Ludington north breakwater Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Ludington Police Department and U.S. Coast Guard Station Ludington personnel responded. Sheriff Kim Cole said the operator was not injured. The incident was reported at 4:31 p.m. Other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office for June 24, 2015 included: 10:44 a.m.: Assault, 2000 block of North Lakeshore Drive, Hamlin Township. 3:49 p.m.: Larceny of two wallets, M-116, Hamlin Township. 7:01 p.m.: Larceny of generator, 4600 block of East Fisher Road, Sherman Township.
