PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — Historic White Pine Village will host Wednesday “Crafternoons” this season. Volunteer artists and crafters will be at the village demonstrating their skills.

“We have known that our arts and crafts have gone by the wayside and we wanted to teach people about the importance of our hand crafts and different artisan projects,” said Carmelitta Tiffany, operations manager. “We have a lot of locally talented people here.”

Among the crafts and arts that will be demonstrated including weaving, painting, yarn spinning, knitting, quilting and chair caning.

Tiffany said artists will have the opportunity to sell their items as well.
