National Day of Prayer to be observed Thursday.

May 4, 2015

LUDINGTON — A local National Day of Prayer service will be held on Thursday, May 7 at noon at the Mason County Courthouse. The Mason County service will echo the national theme, “Lord Hear Our Prayer,” from 1 Kings 8:28.

“This is an opportunity for the community to gather and pray for the place we call home,” said Pastor Henrik Lidman of Prayer and Praise Assembly of God, and one of the event organizers. “This isn’t a political movement. This is a group of believers gathering on the lawn of Mason County’s most iconic landmark and asking God to grant mercy in our lives.”

The service will include singing and prayers from community members.

“We are really excited that our newest judge, Susan Sniegowski has accepted our invitation to join us in prayer,” Lidman said.

National Day of Prayer is held annually on the first Thursday of May, by presidential declaration. The service is expected to last 45 minutes.
