Franz to speak about Prop. 1 in Custer Monday.

CUSTER — The Custer Village Council will be hosting State Representative Ray Franz for a town-hall meeting Monday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. at Custer Village Municipal building on U.S. 10.  Rep. Franz will speak about Proposal 1, the constitutional amendment that would raise the Michigan state sales tax 1 percent; voters will decide on the proposal on Tuesday, May 5.

The village council will hold its regular meeting after the program.
