Hours of operation for the village will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday for the month of May, and will be open on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the months of June, July, and August.

The village consists of 29 buildings and sites with historically accurate exhibits. A self-guided tour is a great way to experience life as it once was in Mason County.

New this year is the Artisan’s Center, located in the Exhibit Building. Craftspersons will demonstrate their skills throughout the season, but mainly from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesdays, which will come to be known as “Wednesday Crafternoons.”

The schedule of events for 2015 include a vintage car show, music fest, Country Kids’ Day, and Old Time Base Ball matches played on the grounds of the village. For the full schedule of events, click here.

Saturday will also be a Volunteer Appreciation Day.

“We couldn’t be what we are now without the volunteers,” said Carmen Tiffany, operations manager. “Our volunteers are our lifeblood, and we would like to show them how much we appreciate them by giving them their own day. The day will consist of touring our new and improved village and a complimentary luncheon.” Volunteers are requested to RSVP by Friday, May 1, to 231-843-4808.

To visit Historic White Pine Village, take Pere Marquette Highway south 2 miles from the airport, then west on Iris Road 1 1/2 miles, and north 1/2 mile on South Lakeshore Drive.  For more information call 231-843-4808 or check out the web site at www.historicwhitepinevillage.org
