SCOTTVILLE — Laura Gillis, 30, of Scottville was arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office for operating under the influence of drugs as a result of a four-vehicle crash at Loomis and Maple streets Thursday, April 9, at 2:48 p.m. The crash occurred in the vicinity of Scottville Elementary shortly before classes were let out for the day.

Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole said there were no injuries in the crash.

Gillis was arraigned Friday in 79th District Court. A 10% bond of $2,500 was set with her next court date scheduled for June 8 at 1:30 p.m. The date was set later than usual because of an anticipated delay from the state crime lab.
