LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Amanda Jean Couturier, 24, of 206 N. William St., Ludington, was found guilty April 1 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; jail term is concurrent with jail term imposed in another matter; no alcohol/drugs; and $350 in fines and costs. Two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer were dismissed. In another file, she was found guilty April 1 of operating while impaired by liquor. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); $870 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of the Victim Impact Panel (VIP); and no alcohol/drugs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Zachary Isaiah Alick, 27, of 214 W. Ludington Ave., Apt. 2, Ludington, was found guilty April 1 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for two days served; $480 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs). Court will consider discharging him from probation after 60 days if fines and costs are paid and jail term completed. Two counts of disorderly person/disturbing the peace were dismissed.

– Robert Jonathan Traverse, 47, of 3882 S. Maple Island Rd., Fremont, was found guilty of controlled substance – possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $693 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; and driver’s license suspended one year/restricted after 30 days.

– Paul William Booher, 45, of 6632 W. Jefferson Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty of possession of marijuana and failure to maintain security/no insurance. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $970 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and driver’s license suspended one year/restricted after 30 days.

– James Arthur Ebner, 60, of 411 7th St., Ludington, was found guilty March 31 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $870 in fines and costs; AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend next session of VIP. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Antonio Kenyon Robertson, 39, of 403 N. Gaylord Ave., Ludington, was found guilty March 31 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $870 in fines and costs; AHSE; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend next session of VIP. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Matthew James Herlein, 32, of 3673 W. Woodview Dr., Ludington, was found guilty April 6 of driving while license not valid/improper. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $225 in fines and costs; and 90 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Melissa Marie McWilliams, 30, of 707 E. Foster St., Ludington, was found guilty April 6 of driving while license not valid/improper. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $225 in fines and costs; and 90 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Derek Michael Johnson, 25, of 214 Second St., Ludington, was found guilty April 6 of driving while license suspended (DWLS). He was sentenced to six days in jail with credit for six days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $335 fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
