PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — Troopers from the Michigan State Police arrested a 29-year-old Lambertville man for stealing quarters from a local car wash. Tyler Joseph Hotaling has been charged with a felony of burglary of a safe/vault in connection to an incident that occurred at West Coast Car Wash, 90 S. Pere Marquette Hwy., in the early hours of May 28, 2014.

According to a press release from MSP, Hotaling and another suspect allegedly stole $600 worth of quarters, bypassing the change machine security system. Hotaling was arrested in Grand Traverse County for felony larceny and then transported to the Mason County Jail.

The second suspect, whose name has not yet been released, is lodged on similar charges out of state. Both were suspects in numerous coin larcenies across Michigan.
