Larceny, attempted police assault net jail sentence

LUDINGTON — A 20-year-old Ludington man was sentenced to four months in jail Tuesday, Feb. 10, in 51st Circuit Court for convictions of larceny in a building and attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing police.

Tyler Austin Hendrickson of 210 E. Loomis received credit for 69 days already served in the Mason County Jail. He pleaded no contest to the two counts, Oct. 15.

Judge Susan Sniegowski sentenced Hendrickson to one year in jail for both counts; must serve four months up front; and balance to be served at the court’s discretion. The counts are to run concurrent to each other and a district court case. He was also ordered to pay $620.86 in fines, costs and restitution.

One count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and one count of third-degree retail fraud were dismissed in a plea agreement.
