79th District Court sentencings

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Otto Robert Schultz, 77, of 1407 E. US-10, Scottville, was found guilty Feb. 3 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $935 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend the next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP); no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs). Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Lloyd Joseph Burden, 22, of 3612 N. Stiles Rd., Scottville, was found guilty Feb. of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; $870 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of VIP; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs and drug tests. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Kera Olivia McClure, 21, of Walhalla, was found guilty Feb. 3 of third-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend Economic Crime Program (ECP); and $600 in fines and costs.

– Andrew Brook Shaffer, 22, of 6213 N. Victory Corners Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 3 of third-offense minor in possession of alcohol (MIP). He was sentenced to 60 days discretionary jail for one year; upon payment of fines and costs, discretionary term ends; and $333 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Renee Lynn Wyn, 45, of 7590 Caberfae Hwy., Manistee, was found guilty Feb. 3 of third-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to $600 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend ECP.

– Raymond Garrett Wyn, 42, of 7590 Caberfae Hwy., Manistee, was found guilty Feb. 3 of third-degree retail fraud. He was sentenced to $573 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend ECP.

– Randi Marie Granger, 28, of 4931 E. US-10, Walhalla, was found guilty Feb. 3 of lying to a peace officer. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; and $758 in fines and costs. One count of harboring felons was dismissed.

– Brooke Elizabeth Streeter, 22, of 207 S. Washington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 3 of lying to a peace officer. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend NA or AA twice a week for two years; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must follow through with any after-care requirements from relapse prevention substance abuse counseling; and $840 in fines and costs. One count of harboring felons and one count of absconding/forfeiting bond were dismissed.

– Nicholas Dean Edgar, 23, of 801 Sandlyn Dr., Lansing, was found guilty Feb. 32 of impaired driving. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $870 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of VIP; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Nicholas James Piehl, 20, of 810 N. James St., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 4 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $720 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; one year discretionary jail for one year; may perform community service within six months instead of paying fines and costs; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs/drug tests. Driver’s license suspended one year/restricted after 60 days. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Delbert Russell Wright, 24, of 10875 E. Airport Rd., Atlanta, Mich., was found guilty Feb. 5 of driver transporting open intoxicants. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail in lieu of fines and costs; credit for one day served; and one year probation. Conviction reportable to SOS. In another file, he was sentenced Feb. 5 for driving while license expired and sentenced to 30 days in jail. Sentences are concurrent.

– Harvey Robert Williams, 47, of 10914 Main St., Apt. 2, Honor, was found guilty Feb. 9 of DWLS. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $285 in fines and costs; and 93 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissals

– Kristine Liane Drake, 33, of 6363 N. Custer Rd., Free Soil, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security dismissed Feb. 3. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge,” court records state.

– Julie Ann Medina, 56, of 822 N. Delia St., Ludington, one count of of operating a motor vehicle without security dismissed Feb. 3. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge,” court records state.
