LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced Tuesday, Dec. 9, in 51st Circuit Court:

Nelson

Nelson

– Adam Wayne Nelson, 40, of 503 First St., Ludington, was found guilty by a jury, Nov. 20 of third-offense domestic violence and found guilty by the court of habitual offender, third offense. He was sentenced to three to 10 years in a Michigan Department of Corrections prison with credit for 25 days served in jail and $2,198 in fines and costs. Related story here

– Codie Lee Fink, 21, of 1783 N. U.S. 31,Scottville, was found guilty Nov. 4 of two counts of assault – weapon and one count of assault and battery. He was sentenced to two one-year jail terms with credit for two days serve in jail and one 93-day jail term with credit for two days served; must serve six months up front; balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 18 months probation; and $691 in fines and costs. Jaralee Sobers

– Jaralee Chaloux Sobers, 31, of 4716 N. Beaune Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Nov. 4 of unarmed robbery. She was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 157 days served; two years probation; and $1405.93 in fines, costs and restitution. Related story here

– Daryl Eugene Essex, 33, of Oaks Correctional Facility, 1500 Caberfae Hwy., Manistee, was found guilty Nov. 4 of second-degree home invasion and habitual offender, third conviction. He was sentenced to a minimum of six years to a maximum of 40 years in a Michigan Department of Corrections prison concurrent to a Oceana County home invasion felony firearm cases; and $198 in fines and costs. Felony counts of safe breaking; first-degree home invasion; larceny of a firearm; and felony firearms were dismissed. Related story here

– Donnie Dean Francis, 39, of 8578 E. US-10, Branch, was found guilty Nov. 4 of operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL), third offense. He was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 93 days served; serve six months up front with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; after serving five months, may attend inpatient treatment for 30 days or longer; 360 hours of community service; and $1,098 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and habitual offender, second conviction, were dismissed.

– Wendy Marie Griffin, 52, of 2984 Conrad Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Nov. 4 of OUIL, third offense. She was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 39 days served; serve six months up front; balance to be served at the court’s discretion; report to jail Jan. 2; work release must meet Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) guidelines; 360 hours of community service; one year probation; and $948 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.
