Hart couple charged for felonious retail fraud, among arraignments.

LUDINGTON — The following were arraigned recently in front of the 79th District Court Magistrate:

Felonies

Melinda VanDerZanden

– Melinda Ann VanDerZanden, 30, of 475 E. Lever Rd., Hart, was arrested Dec. 1 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for a felony of first-degree retail fraud. A preliminary exam is set for Dec. 10 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

Randy VanDerZanden

– Randy Alan VanDerZanden, 45,  of 475 E. Lever Rd., Hart, was arrested Dec. 1 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for a felony of first-degree retail fraud. A preliminary exam is set for Dec. 10 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

Wilson

– Kenneth Alan Wilson, 29, of 2907 W. Conrad Rd., Ludington, was arrested Nov. 26 by MCSO for a felony of controlled substance, possession of marijuana on school property. A pretrial is set for Dec. 10 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

Mallison

– Allen Michael Mallison, 26, of 512 ½ E. Danaher St., Ludington, was arrested Dec. 1 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) for a felony of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and second-offense domestic violence and habitual offender, second conviction. A pretrial is set for Dec. 10 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Christopher Wayne Bailey, 41, of 308 E. Court St., Apt. 7, Ludington, was arrested Nov. 30 by LPD for misdemeanors of operating while intoxicated and failure to report an accident. A pretrial is set for Jan. 5 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

– Justin Michael Sohn, 21, of 143 N. Jebavy, Apt. 5, was arrested Nov. 26 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. A pretrial is set for Dec. 15 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Shawn Michael Rosencrans, 20, of 4431 S. 184th St., Hesperia, was arrested Nov. 23 by MCSO for misdemeanors of possessing drugs in hotel rooms and minor in possession of alcohol (MIP), third offense. A pretrial is set for Dec. 15 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $1,000/10 percent.

– Summer Michelle Rinker, 29, of 1239 W. Harold St., Scottville, was arrested Nov. 26 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of domestic violence. A pretrial is set for Jan. 5 at 2:30 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Whitney Marie Brown, 22, of 214 N. White Pine Dr., Ludington, was arrested Nov. 29 by LPD for a misdemeanor of driving while license suspended (DWLS). A pretrial is set for Jan. 5 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.

– David Eugene English, 37, of 920 Sigsbee St., Grand Rapids, was arrested Nov. 28 by the Michigan State Police, Hart post (MSP-H) for a misdemeanor of DWLS. A pretrial is set for Jan. 5 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.

– Maria Lin Mahoney, 37, of 3671 N. Stiles Rd., Apt. B, Scottville, was arrested Nov. 29 by MCSO for a two-count misdemeanor of domestic violence. A pretrial is set for Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.
