Deputies locate lost hunter.

springstead_carter_2EDEN TWP. — A 66-year-old Twin Lake man was reported lost in the woods near Whiskey Creek around 7:04 p.m. Monday night. Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office spent about 30 minutes searching for the man. They were able to pin down his location by placing patrol units at various locations and activating sirens at different times until he could hear one.

Other activity of the sheriff’s office for Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 included:

  • 10 a.m.: One vehicle crash, no injuries, Fountain Rd. west of U.S. 31, Victory Twp.
  • 12:30 p.m.: Two vehicle rear-end crash, no injuries, Fountain and Tuttle roads, Sherman Twp.
  • 2:27 p.m.: Fraud, 3300 block of North Sherman Rd., Hamlin Twp. Complainant found a $36 charge to Lowes.com which was not authorized.
  • 5:14 p.m.: One vehicle crash, no injuries, Scottville and Bradshaw roads, Riverton Twp.
