Shakespeare group to meet.

October 5, 2014

LUDINGTON — The Interactive Shakespeare Reading Group at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts meets at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 9 in the Performance Underground Room 101, downstairs at the arts center. The group will begin its reading of “Troilus and Cressida.”

Open to all who have a Love of Shakespeare, the group meets once a month for about two hours to read from the works of The Bard. Participants take on a role of one of the actors and read their parts. An informal discussion is held at the end of each scene. This is strictly for fun; no homework is assigned, no tests are given, no grades are awarded.

Participants are asked to bring their own copy of Shakespeare’s works and to contribute $3 toward facility usage ($2 for LACA members). SRG meets the second Thursday of the month at 7pm at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts, 107 S. Harrison St. For more information, please call the arts center at 231-845-2787; open noon-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
