Mental health taking over substance abuse services.

September 30, 2014

LUDINGTON — Beginning Oct. 1, residents of Lake, Mason, and Oceana counties can call West Michigan Community Mental Health (WMCMH) at 1-800-992-2061 to access substance use disorder treatment services.

WMCMH is assuming management of publicly-funded substance use disorder treatment services for residents of Lake, Mason, and Oceana counties.  WMCMH will manage substance use disorder treatment services for people with Medicaid, Healthy Michigan, and MIChild insurance, and for those eligible for assistance based upon income.

Anyone, regardless of insurance, can call WMCMH to access services.  Services provided by WMCMH and our network of providers include outpatient treatment, detox, opioid maintenance therapy, and residential services.

Those who are already in treatment will likely see no change in their services or their provider.

Residents of Lake, Mason, or Oceana counties who want to inquire about substance use disorder treatment, can call WMCMH at 1-800-992-2061.
