Family emergency preparedness topic of parent coalition meeting

LUDINGTON — The Mason County Parent Coalition will hold a Parent Connection meeting on Tuesday, August 19 from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. at Sandcastles Children’s Museum in Ludington.

Guest speaker for the evening will be Elizabeth Reimink, coordinator of Mason County Emergency Management with a presentation on family emergency preparedness.  Dinner, kids’ admission to the museum, and childcare will be provided and all Mason County families with children 0-12 years old are invited to attend.

Items on the meeting agenda are the Ludington Splash Pad initiative, the Baby Pantry 5K race, and meeting the new Mason County Parent Liaison Stephanie Lundberg.

The Mason County Parent Coalition is part of the Mason-Lake-Oceana Great Start Collaborative which works to assure a coordinated system of community resources and support to help all families in the tri-county area provide a great start for their children from pre-birth to age 8.
