City asking Jaycees to sign agreement on mini golf

LUDINGTON — For many years the Ludington Area Jaycees have operated a mini golf at the south end of Stearns Park. The property was once the location of a popular night club until it burned down in the 1960s. While the Jaycees have used the property for years, city officials or Jaycees officials have been unable to locate a formal agreement between the city and the club.

City Manager John Shay is now recommending the two entities enter into a year-to-year agreement.

“The agreement states that the Jaycees are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the mini golf course, as well as reflects the reconstruction of the mini golf course later this year” Shay wrote to Mayor Ryan Cox and city council in a memo.

City council meets at 6:30 p.m. at city hall, 400 S. Harrison St.
