Social media indicating Mason Co. may be next site for rave party, law enforcement source says

LUDINGTON — A source from local law enforcement has informed MCP that postings have been made on local social media pages about the possibility of a rave party occurring in Mason County similar to the one that was held in southern Mecosta County last weekend.

More than 2,000 people showed up for the Mecosta County rave which resulted in at least six people being injured and three people being arrested.

The source stated that law enforcement is investigating and searching out tips, and is preparing an enforcement plan.

MCP will follow-up on this story when more information is available.
