51st Circuit Court sentencings

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 51st Circuit Court:

– Kurtis Lee Bigelow, 21, of 8150 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, Mich., was pled no contest  June 11 to assault – weapon. He was sentenced July 22 to 180 days in jail with credit for three days served; serve four months up front with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 18 months probation; and $598 in fines and costs. Counts of felony firearms, using a computer to commit a crime and malicious use of service provided by telecommunications service were dismissed.

– Tara Renee Anthony, 45, of 802 N. Rowe St., Ludington, was found guilty June 3 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana – second offense. She was sentenced July 22 to one year in jail with credit for 67 days served; serve three months up front; balance to be served at the court’s discretion; two years probation; $448 in fines and costs; driver’s license suspended 60 days/restricted 305 days; must complete 90 days remote alcohol monitoring upon release from jail; and complete Hands Down Treatment. In a separate case, she was found guilty June 3 of the same offense as above. She was sentenced July 22 to one year in jail with credit for 74 days served; serve 30 days up front; balance to be served at the court’s discretion; two years probation; $448 in fines and costs; driver’s license suspended 60 days/restricted 305 days; must complete 90 days remote alcohol monitoring upon release from jail; and complete Hands Down Treatment.Cases run concurrent.

– Rachael Joy-Kraai VanOrder, 33, of 210 N. Harrison St., Ludington, was found guilty June 17 of forgery. She was sentenced July 22 to one year in jail with credit for seven days served; serve three months up front; balance to be served at the court’s discretion; $598 in fines and costs; and 18 months probation. One count of uttering and publishing and one count of habitual offender, second conviction, were dismissed.

– Jeffrey Allen Patterson, 31, of 3763 W. Hidden Forest Dr., Ludington, was found guilty June 17 of failure to comply with reporting duties. He was sentenced July 22 to one year in jail with credit for one day served; one year to be served at the court’s discretion; 18 months probation; and $648 in fines and costs. One count of habitual offender, second conviction was dismissed.
