PENTWATER — A 23-year-old Pentwater man received minor injuries following a single-vehicle crash in the Village of Pentwater Saturday. The crash occurred at the intersection of Victory Lane and Sixth Street.
According to the Pentwater Police Dept., a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Whitehall man was traveling south on Victory Lane at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at the intersection with Sixth Street. The vehicle then struck a tree.
The 23-year-old passenger was pinned in the vehicle and was extricated with the assistance of Pentwater Fire Dept. and Oceana County EMS. The 22-year-old driver was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, causing injury. He was lodged in the Oceana County jail.
